The Jaunt: Illustration for Publication

The Jaunt  is a project I was assigned during my fourth year in the Graphic Design program. This project required us to choose a publication or short story to illustrate. I chose The Jaunt because it is one of my favorite short stories written by Stephen King.  In this project, I wanted to recreate the  feeling of wonder and horror reflected in this story. A quote from the text that I was most inspired by was, "It's eternity in there." I wanted to show an individual looking into eternity and eternity also being reflected back into them and the anguish that this experience would bring.
